Making thoughtful choices about careers is at the heart of the university experience. However, the most critical choice faced by young adults during their college years is the discernment of their personal vocation in life.
The answer impacts the rest of their lives. Many are called to be married, some to remain single, and still others are called to the priesthood, religious life or lay vocation.
As students struggle with the question “Who am I to become?”, the Catholic University Center walks with them through the journey of discovering how God is calling them.
† Discernment: The Catholic University Center provides various opportunities for young men and women who are discerning religious life. Men's Formation Nights and individual spiritual direction provide the kind of serious reflection and mutual support needed to make the important decision of vocation. Annual Nun-Runs and Seminary Sprints provide students the opportunity to visit convents and seminaries.
Over the past few years, nine men from Bear Catholic have entered the seminary and two young women have taken their final vows as Sisters. In addition, sixteen students have become FOCUS missionaries, ministering to college students throughout the country.
